Screen Health FAQ

Stuck Pixel: A pixel that is permanently "on", usually appearing as Red, Green, or Blue. Often fixable with flashing software.
Dead Pixel: A pixel that is permanently "off" (Black). Usually a hardware failure.

Color banding occurs when a monitor cannot display enough shades of color to create a smooth gradient, resulting in visible "bands" or distinct lines between colors. Use the Gradient Test to check for this.

  • Calibrate brightness to room light levels.
  • Use "Night Mode" after sunset to reduce blue light.
  • Clean screens with microfiber cloth and distilled water only.
